As of January 1, Mumbai's iconic B Merwan & Co has shut down. Located opposite Grant Road railway station, the Irani cafe was started by Boman Merwan nearly 112 years ago. As per the notice on the eatery's door, the iconic cafe closed business on the first day of 2026. "We thank you for your patronage," the sign further read.
