Mumbai's Nair Hospital mess serving 400 nurses loses licence over food safety lapses
Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suspended the licence of a canteen at BMC-run Nair Hospital in Mumbai after finding serious food safety and hygiene violations. The hospital has three canteens, including a nurses' mess. The FDA raided and shut the mess, which prepared food for around 400 nurses studying and working at the hospital, according to reports.
