Mumbai and adjoining areas like Thane and Kalyan witnessed heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder in some areas on Sunday morning. Several areas of Mumbai also reported water-logging following the heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for Thane and Mumbai for today. The IMD forecast predicts thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and moderate to heavy spells of rain.
