Lip-sync video app Musical.ly Co-founder Louis Yang left China's ByteDance last week following the failure of an edtech project due to a regulatory crackdown on online tutoring services and apps, Bloomberg reported citing a source. Yang was last in charge of ByteDance's foray into educational gadgets. Musical.ly was acquired by ByteDance and got absorbed into TikTok.
