Billionaire Elon Musk's Neuralink is under federal investigation in the US after its staff complained that the brain chip startup is rushing animal testing, Reuters reported. Neuralink's repeated tests on animals are causing needless suffering and deaths, the report said. The company has reportedly killed about 1,500 animals, including 280 sheep, pigs and monkeys, following experiments since 2018.
