Solar energy provider SolarCity, chaired by Elon Musk, has been accused of intellectual property theft by Cogenra Solar, a SunPower Corporation and Khosla Ventures subsidiary. The company has been accused of gaining undue advantage of Cogenra's technology that helps manufacture high-efficiency solar panels. SolarCity has responded saying that it had independently developed the technology.
