Muslims perform badly in the 16th Lok Sabha

With only 24 winners, the representation of Muslims in the 16th Lok Sabha will be the lowest since the first general election of 1952. Remarkably, UP has not returned any Muslim candidate, first time in India’s history. Also, this is the first time that the upcoming governing party at the Centre does not have a single representative from the community.
