Ex-Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga said his 1996 World Cup-winning side would have beaten the current Indian Team in Tests at the latter's home in three days. He said, "With bowlers like (Chaminda) Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan, that team...would have beaten India...in three days." The 1996 team also had players like Aravinda de Silva, Sanath Jayasuriya and Marvan Atapattu.
