Addressing the Muslim community, New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani revealed that his aunt stopped taking the subway after the 9/11 terror attacks because she did not feel safe in her hijab. Reacting to Mamdani's remark, US Vice President JD Vance said, "According to Zohran, the real victim of 9/11 was his auntie, who got some (allegedly) bad looks."
