My father was born Hindu: Faria Abdullah on backlash over Bonalu participation

Telugu actress Faria Abdullah broke down in a video after massive backlash over her participating in Hyderabad's Bonalu celebrations. She addressed those calling her "kafir" over her presence at a Hindu festival, pointing at her Muslim background. "My dad's a converted Muslim...He got converted to Islam because he liked the religion," she said while speaking about her father, Sanjay Abdullah.
