Karan Johar recalled his mother Hiroo Johar "remained silent" as she exited the theatre after watching 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' and told him a week later that she felt "very scared" after the film. However, he shared that when she watched 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', she "laughed and cried" and told him to make more of such films.
