Raghuram Rajan in a recent podcast interview revealed that his annual salary as RBI Governor was ₹4 lakh. He said the biggest perk was the house. "You get a really big house...a few blocks away from Dhirubhai Ambani's house in Mumbai," Rajan revealed. He further said that according to his earlier calculations the house would sell for around ₹450 crore.
