As many as 64 "mysterious booms" have been reported across locations in the US, UK and Australia, suggested to have come from supersonic jets or meteorites by a NASA scientist. While the US Geological Survey noted the noises did not result from an earthquake, the US Air Force is yet to confirm if the sounds were produced during military exercises.
