Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS lost its comet-like tail while passing near Sun. Usually, comets form tails when solar radiation pushes out gas and dust, however, 3I/ATLAS appeared tail-less in latest pictures. Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb suggested this unusual behaviour could hint at an artificial origin. 3I/ATLAS was discovered on July 1 by Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS).
