A "mystery" asteroid, named 2015 RN35, will be making a safe close approach to Earth on December 15. Smaller than the Statue of Liberty, the asteroid has no chance of colliding with Earth in the next hundred years. It will be visible to those in Europe until about December 19, as per ESA.
