North Korean leader Kim Jong-un cast his ballot in local elections recently to pick his new deputies for local assemblies of provinces, cities and counties in the country. The voter turnout was estimated to be almost 100 per cent. Local elections are held every four years in North Korea but the polls are largely considered to be a formality.
