NADA defends India’s high doping numbers amid scrutiny

World Anti Doping Agency(WADA's) 2024 report shows India conducted 7,113 tests and returned 260 adverse findings, a 3.6% positivity rate - the highest among major nations. National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) said the numbers stem from expanded testing and stronger detection, not rising doping. It cited 280 workshops in 2024 and a lower 1.5% positivity rate from 7,068 tests so far in 2025.
