Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday appointed Nagma Mohamed Mallick as India's next Ambassador to Japan. A 1991-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, she is currently serving as India's Ambassador to Poland since September 2021. Mallick began her diplomatic career in Paris, serving at the Indian Embassy to France and Mission to UNESCO. She was also Deputy Spokesperson of this Ministry.
