Nana Patekar’s #MeToo past resurfaces after his death

Nana Patekar's death has revived focus on the #MeToo controversy involving Tanushree Dutta, who accused him of sexual harassment during a 2008 film shoot. Patekar denied the allegations. Dutta filed an FIR in 2018, while Mumbai Police later sought closure citing insufficient evidence. A 2025 Mumbai court proceeding also drew conflicting interpretations over the status of the case.
