Narendra Modi Stadium can seat more people than entire population of India-Japan T20I host city

The entire population of Sano, the Japanese city hosting the historic India-Japan T20I on Tuesday, could fit inside Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. Sano had 1,11,097 residents as of September 1, 2026, according to the city government. Narendra Modi Stadium has a seating capacity of around 1,32,000.
