NASA chooses site to collect sample of smallest object orbited by probe

NASA announced that the team leading the first asteroid sample return mission has officially selected a sample collection site, designated "Nightingale", on asteroid Bennu. OSIRIS-REx mission is scheduled to return collected samples to Earth in 2023. Bennu, which has a one-in-2,700 chance of hitting Earth in the next century, is the smallest celestial object ever orbited by a man-made object.
