NASA reveals vast 'flying bird' galaxy in Peacock constellation

NASA has unveiled NGC 6872, a giant spiral system in the southern constellation Pavo, also called the Peacock. With its elongated starry arms stretching 500,000 light-years, the galaxy is at least five times the size of the Milky Way. Located 200 million light-years from Earth, its wingspan resembles a flying bird, earning it the nickname 'Condor Galaxy'.
