short by Sakshita Khosla / on Saturday, 6 February, 2021
NASA on Friday shared a colourful image of the Anti-Atlas Mountains in southwest Morocco on its Instagram page. The image, captured via an orbiting satellite, gives a view of the mountains from 708 km above the Earth's surface. "The photo was taken in infrared light...to highlight different layers of rock and sediment, giving the tie-dye appearance," said NASA.
