NASA marked Earth Day (April 22) by sharing the iconic 'Earthrise' photo taken on December 24, 1968. It was taken by former NASA astronaut Bill Anders as he and his fellow Apollo 8 astronauts became the first humans to orbit the Moon.⁣ "One of the images that kicked off the date that honours our home planet," NASA wrote on Instagram.
