US space agency NASA has shared the "last light" image taken by the planet-hunting Kepler telescope, which was shut down in 2018 when it ran out of fuel after 9.5 years in space. Kepler's last field of view overlapped with its successor, planet-hunting TESS, which has enabled astronomers to compare data, NASA said. "Last light" was taken on September 25.
