NASA’s Perseverance rover recently sent a selfie from Mars, taken against the backdrop of “Lac de Charmes”, which is the western rim of Jezero Crater. “It’s the farthest west our Perseverance rover has explored since landing in Jezero Crater in 2021,” NASA said. Located in Mars’ northern hemisphere, the region is believed to have once been submerged underwater.
