NASA is set to launch the first of two CubeSats to measure heat loss from the Arctic and Antarctica. The PREFIRE mission aims to improve climate models by studying how water vapour and clouds trap heat. The first satellite will launch from New Zealand on Saturday, with the second launch date to be announced soon.
