NASA uses citizen observations to track auroras

NASA is using science observations made by citizens to track auroras in real-time. This comes after citizens started documenting some of the biggest and most recent aurora displays under 'Aurorasaurus', a citizen science project that enables people to track auroras through its website, mobile app and Twitter. Auroras are dancing, natural light displays caused by geomagnetic storms.
