In 1997, NASA was sued by three men from Yemen for trespassing on Mars with its Pathfinder spacecraft and Sojourner rover. The men claimed to have inherited the planet from their ancestors 3,000 years ago. They further asked NASA to refrain from disclosing information about Mars' atmosphere, surface or gravity before taking their approval.
