NASA's Saturn probe detects interstellar dust

In a first, NASA's Saturn-orbiting Cassini spacecraft has detected interstellar dust coming from beyond the solar system. The tiny dust grains were speeding through Saturn’s system at over 72,000 kilometers per hour and were found to be made of a very specific mixture of minerals. Notably, the Saturn dust grains which Cassini has so far sampled, are made of ice.
