Naseeruddin Shah will essay the role of emperor Akbar in the upcoming period drama 'Taj - Divided by Blood'. The web series would follow the lines of the rise and fall of the generations of the Mughal empire. It will also feature Aditi Rao Hydari as Anarkali, Aashim Gulati as Prince Salim and Sandhya Mridul as Queen Jodha.
