A national-level kabaddi player, Tejpal Singh (26), was shot dead after an argument with friends in Punjab's Ludhiana district, police said. They added that the dispute, linked to an old rivalry, escalated when one of the men's associates opened fire, hitting Tejpal in the chest near the SSP's office. He was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to injuries.
