Navakalebara ritual in Jagannath temple replaces neem wood idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra every 12 years. Held in Puri, it symbolises rebirth as the Brahma Padartha is secretly transferred in darkness. Special neem trees are chosen through strict rules. The Rath Yatra begins on July 16, 2026, followed by Bahuda Yatra on July 24.
