Bangladesh's student-led National Citizen Party (NCP) is reportedly in talks to form an electoral alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami ahead of the February 2026 parliamentary polls. The move has triggered sharp criticism and internal dissent, with leaders warning it could damage the party's identity. One senior member called the alliance "self-destructive".
