Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Dhananjay Munde denied allegations of rape levelled by a 37-year-old woman, stating he had been in a relationship with her sister since 2003. Munde said he has two children with the complainant's sister, adding that their relationship had been accepted by his wife. The allegations are "an attempt to blackmail and extort money," he said.
