Nearly 60% of foreign inflows into India-focused equity funds during the 2023-24 rally have been withdrawn, according to an Elara Capital report. Investors have pulled out almost $12 billion of the nearly $20 billion invested between March 2023 and October 2024. In 2026 alone, withdrawals have reached $9 billion as global investors shift toward AI-driven opportunities.
