BJP MP from Mumbai North, Gopal Shetty, said on Wednesday that strong action must be taken against those officials who have filed sedition cases against individuals "under pressure". Shetty's comments come as SC has permitted the Centre to re-examine the provisions of Section 124A of IPC that criminalises sedition. Over 300 sedition cases have been filed since 2014.
