While hearing a case over FIRs against CJP protesters, Chief Justice of India Surya Kant said that the FIRs first need to be segregated, one category for students and another for serious criminals. He added that the investigation can proceed after this. Meanwhile, the Centre said it is serious on its commitment to not pursue FIRs against students.
