Neelakurinji flowers bloom after 12 yrs in Kerala's Munnar

The mass blooming of Neelakurinji flowers, a phenomenon which occurs once in 12 years, is taking place in the Eravikulam National Park in Kerala's Munnar. The phenomenon, which will last until October, is spread over 3,000 hectares of hills. Around eight lakh tourists are expected for the flowering season in 2018, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had said earlier.
