Dr Kailash Sharma told The Core that NEET became highly competitive because MBBS aspirants far outnumber available medical seats, especially in government colleges. He said India must expand medical education while protecting teaching quality, hospital training and clinical exposure, and added that computer-based testing could improve exam credibility.
