The high-collared Nehru jacket, popularised by India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru, was ranked among Time magazine's "top 10 global political fashion statements" in 2012. The Beatles popularised the jacket in West after wearing pale blue versions of it during their 1965 New York concert. Sean Connery and Joseph Wiseman also sported Nehru-style jackets in 1962 James Bond film 'Dr. No'.
