CBI has arrested NEHU Professor Dr Nirmalendu Saha and contractor Pranjal Sharma in Guwahati for accepting a ₹3.43 lakh bribe. The CBI-led trap operation exposed corruption involving lab supply orders. Both were caught red-handed at Guwahati University Guest House and will be produced in court. Searches at multiple locations yielded incriminating documents. Investigation is ongoing.
