Neil Armstrong got his pilot license before driver's license

The first man to set foot on the Moon, Neil Armstrong, born on August 5, 1930, got his pilot's license at 16 before he got a driver's license. He had started flying lessons when he was 15 and became a NASA astronaut at 32. Armstrong was the mission commander of Apollo 11, the first-ever manned moon mission launched in 1969.
