Nepal flash floods death toll crosses 1,000

The death toll after devastating flash floods in Nepal has crossed 1,000 within a week. The toll has risen to 1,003, with about 4,000 still missing, including 590 foreign nationals from 39 countries, Reuters reported. From India, a total of 158 people were rescued as of August 31, and hundreds of others are still missing. China has reported 16 deaths.
