Nestle SA has acquired a minority stake in Drools, making it India’s first pet food Unicorn. Founded in 2010, Drools runs 6 manufacturing facilities, 1.6 million sqft of warehousing, and employs 3,400 people, including 1,800 sales staff. With products in over 40,000 outlets and exports to 22 countries, the deal follows Drools’ $60 million funding from L Catterton in 2023.
