The Centre's direct tax collections rose 13.57% to ₹22.26 lakh crore in FY25, but fell 0.7% short of its revised estimate (RE) of ₹22.42 lakh crore. Collection of "other taxes" also declined which caused the loss in direct tax collections. Corporate tax collections stood at ₹9.86 lakh crore, 0.6% higher than its RE of ₹9.8 lakh crore for the year.
