A new California law will prohibit streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon from airing advertisements louder than the videos they accompany from July 1. The legislation is similar to existing rules in US that regulate volume levels for broadcast and cable TV commercials. The bill was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom last year.
