Netflix cancels David Fincher's American 'Squid Game' spin-off

Netflix has reportedly cancelled Director David Fincher's English spin-off of the popular South Korean show 'Squid Game', which was in development under the title 'Heckler'. The show was first announced in 2024, and was listed on the Film and Television Industry Alliance's website in November 2025. The production was reportedly scheduled to begin in February 2026.
