Netflix has named its longtime Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, as the co-CEO alongside Co-founder and current CEO Reed Hastings. "This change makes formal what was already informal, that Ted and I share the leadership of Netflix," Hastings said. Sarandos, who joined the entertainment services provider over 20 years ago, has also been elected to the company's board of directors.
