NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar said on Tuesday, "We never thought that a split would take place in the party (NCP) but it happened." Pawar stated, "Some people went with other ideologies...but those who remained loyal to the party, it was because of our party's ideology." Pawar's nephew and Maharshtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar split NCP in July 2023.
